Cross-border NETwork to foster

Knowledge-intensive business Incubation and TEchnology transfer

NET KITE is the ENPI CBC MED project designed to convey innovation generated in the research labs into the industrial system and promote the mutual exchange among young spin-off companies and more mature enterprises already operating on the market, according to a model successfully implemented in several business incubators and technology transfer bodies in Europe.

The network will facilitate the creation and consolidation of micro and small creative enterprises, assisting their start-up phase and supporting, locally and transnationally, the consolidation of business networks.

Pilot initiatives will define opportunities for future innovation; in this way the technology transfer and spin-off development process will be improved on an ongoing basis; the idea is to spread the co-creation and co-design philosophy in the Mediterranean area and to open out the transnational cooperation with EU organizations.

Our target groups are:

  • junior researchers and postgraduate students, who will benefit from the enhancement of business incubation programmes and easier access to research infrastructures upgraded for technology transfer activities;
  • technicians from industry, who will benefit from technology agreements with R&D centers for joint projects, testing and prototyping activities and will find on the Open Innovation platform solutions to their business challenges;
  • SMEs and SMEs clusters, who will enrich their know-how through the collaboration with new young entrepreneurs coming from the research system.
